What will you be doing as a Database Administrator

As a Database administrator, you will:

  • Assist with the operational responsibility for database platforms, primarily Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

  • Support the design and implementation of high‑availability, high‑performance, and cost‑efficient database solutions.

  • Assist with database backup and recovery strategies, including restore testing and documentation.

  • Monitor database performance and support performance tuning and troubleshooting activities.

  • Participate in patching, upgrades, and maintenance of database platforms.

  • Assist with regular testing and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

  • Provide support for other database platforms used within the organization as required.

  • Work with Windows Server and Linux environments related to database hosting and operations.

  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure & DevOps, application teams, and senior database administrators.

We’re looking for a motivated Database admin with:

  • Hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.

  • Basic understanding of database architecture, SQL, and operational best practices.

  • Experience working with or supporting Windows Server and Linux-based systems.

  • Understanding of database backup, recovery, and availability concepts is preferred.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.

  • Professional mindset with the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.

  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
